In honor of St. Patrick’s Day we all had green bagels.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all.

Miscellaneous ramblings of an Irish American
First run at 9:30 am and last at 4:30 pm. Epic day of boarding. GMan and I got in many many runs and we were joined by DB and his three sons for part of the day.
Conditions were great and the place was quite. No lines, no waiting, just run after run.
I’ll admit the I’m pretty tired and a little sore, but it was a wonderful day and I very thankful to be able to board with GMan.
Reflections of me in DB lens.
Brought the boys to Roll on America today. GMan went new world in blades and JMan Razored it up.
I hung out and listened to everything from the Birdie song to 200 BPM Manray style front room techno! Except here I’m wearing glasses and hearing aids and I’m watching my kids, where as in Manray almost 25 years ago I was the kid. There’s irony in that one.
In any event a fun time was had by all now and them.
New England snow is good for a few things.
1. Snowball fights
2. Making snowmen
3. Making your local mountain into a giant Slushy!
4. Practicing spinning (on your board)
We decided to lay low today and play with the snow rather that on it. GMan and I practiced spinning in place while on our boards. I managed several clean 180’s with a little effort, either rotating on my back foot or jumping and spinning mid air.
Kutos to anyone who can do 5 in a row without falling down or getting a heart attack. Trust me….it’s work. Given I never tried before I was very happy with my results.
GMan on the other hand landed a few 240’s without bailing out, both spinning and in mid air. I’m not going to do the age/weight difference ratio between us but needless to say its a lot.
After we sufficiently wore ourselves out it was time to head to the front yard for some #1 & 2. A couple a minutes of mayhem later we decided to move onto #2. The boys started rolling up some giant snowballs and I started building things. With my architectural degree one might think that a interesting form or geometric space might appear but I stuck with the theme of the day “fun” and we produced the following elements.
Shredder Boy.
Piglet & Whinny Merge
Sitting Lama
This week Friday’s ski/board program turned into a Saturday evening/night shredding blast.
Conditions were so so when we got here at 4:30 but continued to improve as the evening passed. We hopped from one side of the mountain to the other and did countless runs.
It snowed for a while then cleared then the fog formed. The above was at the summit. It was so foggy you could not see the end of the chair lift till you were on top of if! However, the trails are well lit so boarding down was not an issue.
GMan chills in the Cider Shack.
