Higgins Armory

JMan and I visited Higgins Armory today in Worcester MA. We had a great time wandering around looking at all the cool displays. We also took in show where JMan volunteered his hands to try out some chain-male (yes mom he was wearing gloves). The sword was at least two feet taller than him, but it looked like she did this trick before JMan was a good sport about it. He had all is fingers when the show was over. No photos as it a cell free zone….but I did get a few others.

JMan tries out a box simulator.

He got together with a few other kids a built a fort.

Bahamas Breeze

Checked out Bahamas Breeze in Nashua today. It felt like St. Kits where Jess and I honeymooned. The food is good even if I got the wrong thing! I ate it as it looked great and tasted better. Now I have lunch for tomorrow.

Rolling

GMan and I took a rolling class. The start was more of a how to gracefully fall out of your kayak, but toward the end I was at least getting the mechanics down.

The most important thing I learned was its all in the hips! No strength involved, all in the hips.

Now….for an Irish guy with two left feet and (ask my wife) no sway in the hips, it was work, but fun work. Perhaps this will improve my dancing! Hmmmm…na, not a chance. You know what say about white guys and dancing…..well the Irish take that to a new level. Heck, someone has to hold up the bar!

All in all is was a great class. Check out Charles River Canoe and Kayak.

GMan got a book award

GMan won the book award this year in 4th grade. The book award is given to the student who reads the most pages. My guess is he read more this year than I have in the past five, possible ten!

Well done GMan.
