Father’s Day 2021

My much better 1/2 surprise me with a day at the American Heritage Museum in Stow MA for Father’s Day.

I was trying for years to get over there but never quite made it. We first took in an antique car show with some great looking classics from the thirties. They sure don’t make them like they used to.

I didn’t take any photos of the drive by but snapped a few after the cars were returned to their garage.

There’s more steel in that hood ornament than in most new cars! This Rolls Royce is a real beauty.

After the cars we checked out some airplanes….and a few modern race cars. This place really has something for every type of gear head.

Since the place was very busy here’s some plane parts!
Can you spot the handbrake….well foot break! No thanks, I’ll be missing this ride!
Zoom zoom…yup, this one I will take a ride in.
This bad boy would be a great accessory for my Bren Gun. It’s actually called a Bren Gun Carrier.
Gangs all here…
Object in perspective appear closer…and, if you get this view in real life I’d say duck immediately.
GMan in the hot seat lower left, driver on the right, JMan and I up top.

The tank ride was a complete surprise and definitely a lot of fun. JMan and I rode up top and GMan got in the hot seat next to the driver. He got to steer a few time during our excursion. Other than starting and stopping the ride was very smooth, along the lines of a very heavy farm tractor.

Too bad the 50 cal was not working, it would be a hoot to create some brass rainbow while cruising around.

Go here for additional information on the M24 Chaffee Tank.

Get some!
View from up top. This this would be great in rush hour traffic!
Kicking up some dirt while under power.

GMans B-Day

GMan had a big one today. If we lived in Ireland he could vote and have a pint!

Happy Birthday!
Here he goes into the wood with Jimmy….that’s Jimmy Big Tine. Thanks Lenore.
Jimmy was last spotted looking rather nervously at another target!

Taking in a game

Once every 4 or so years we get in a Red Sox game at Fenway. Last night was a hot one but as always it’s a good time with lots of bad food to eat!

Fenway was hopping with not that many empty seats.

JMan was dressed for the occasion while GMan was his usual trendy self.

3/4 family.

Whole gang.

Here’s a photo from September 2014. The last time we got in a game.

Random weekend photos

Long time no blog. Here’s a few from over the weekend.

Front left corner of our new place. Jess and I got in to do some more measuring and we also walked the lot looking for the boundaries.

Long since forgetting. Perhaps nature wants to play.

Found these in the woods. No idea what formed them.

Koda sporting a new look! He was not impressed.

Just chilling

JMan and I went to a toy train show. Brought back memories of my own set from years ago.

The details are simply incredible. If this what the road show sets look like I bet the permanent home sets are truly wonderful.

Overpass 1.

Overpass 2.

Just for fun. Koda got himself a winter suit.

Fruitlands

Took a drive to Fruitlands Museum in Harvard MA. Not a stretch for us as its just up the road a bit. The views are wonderful and worth the drive.

Jess and Koda take it all in.

JMan contemplating wifi!

Hollowed out log canoe.

Koda got in a little off leash time!

Koda taking a rest from out Saturday am walk.

Yet another rest!

After Koda was turned away from kids fest at Wachusett Mountain…….which mind you had a dog show……we took the high road….. to the top of the mountain that is.

Today we celebrated GMan’s bday. He wanted pizza at Regina’s in the North End so we happily supported his choice.

Its just good……go eat, be happy.

Thacher and North Margin Streets. I wonder how many tourists have stood on this corner wondering how to walk off dinner.

No visit to the North End is complete without a visit to Caffe Vittoria.

We got prime real estate in the window. It was quite busy….I just timed this shot with no one in it.

JMan an his sausage dog on a skateboard balloon creation.
